February 2009: Turning the Act of Caring into Action

“Caring” is hard to describe, awkward to discuss—harder to measure. Yet, it is one of our greatest ideals and most powerful motivators for actions. This forum brings caring to the forefront. Do we talk about caring on our Web sites? Do we help others to act on their caring? Do we acknowledge caring when we see it in action? How do we help people care? When we care, do we act? Hear from three organizations who express caring in powerful ways, from the way their structure their organizations to the way they welcome volunteers.
