“The particular uniqueness of Springboard programs is the clear understanding of what it takes to move through the social entrepreneuring process from start to finish. They do this by guiding and moving launchers step-by-step, utilizing their own expertise and linkages to incredibly innovative, competent and skilled individuals and organizations. This is done with the understanding that it is human nature to get stuck in one task or another.

Consequently we are kept on pace with supportive, thought provoking, and interesting tasks aimed at constantly moving us forward."

LOCAL AGENDA: A Program for Change

Beth envisions community spaces in every neighborhood.

Can average citizens become extraordinary leaders of change? Absolutely, by connecting with a "Local Agenda."

Local citizens know their own communities best. They care most deeply about their own future. But while community members have the passion and need to create a better future, they often lack the skills, resources, or vision of what's possible to confront and solve complex problems. What does it take to launch a good idea into action, and then sustain it? That’s what Local Agenda is all about. We invite you to imagine solutions, design a program, and launch a new breed of change organization.

Find your passion. Take action.

Local Agenda is our core program that combines education, expertise, and engagement with the community along with investment and funding pathways. It is a comprehensive approach that connects you with the resources, information, and consulting needed to launch change.

Local Agenda is a sequenced educational program that helps people create positive and sustainable change—in their own communities—by becoming social entrepreneurs. Participants register and over 12 - 14 weeks learn research-based and practical skills in problem identification, problem solving, leadership, and planning. They learn how other social change leaders are making huge strides towards solving local and global challenges. They focus on their own concerns and passions, defining a personal vision. They explore the system surrounding the issue, and learn to be creative problem solvers. They gain critical experiences they need to tackle complex challenges with lasting, innovative solutions.
